Two men who are first offenders were arrested for hitting windows with a sling shot. will they get jail time?
The men were 18, and 20 years of age. They were arrested and then realeased with no bail paid(which i think means O.R.ed). They were charged with 4-5 felonies but their attorney thinks they can be lowered to misdemeanors, with a years probabtion, restitution for damages, and communtiy service. They were both remorsful for what they had done.
In Texas they would probably be charged and convicted with criminal mischief - assuming no one was hurt.
When brought to court, they'd more than likely get put on probation, and would have to make restitution. If just a 12 month probation, they are still looking at $2,000-$3,000 in fines, ct costs and supervision fees + plus whatever restitution....
