is it against the law to slap stickers?
i was at the mall today, and i had to go pick up a bunch of promo stickers for my clothing line. i put some on the little plastic wrap on a few cds, on a gum ball machine and on a chair. i didn't get caught doing it, but will they look at the tapes?? is it that serious?? now i am nervous.
ps: i didn't cover any information on the cds or the gum ball machine
Whether you have covered information or not is irrelevant. The fact is that you have been defacing items that belong to someone else which is, even at best, rather silly.
It is unlikely that you will be appearing in court but, if you do, it is likely to be civil rather than criminal, with someone seeking a court order to prevent you from doing this.
But why would they bother checking tapes? Surely all the info that they need to trace you will be on the stickers as they are promotional. It's probably best not to do this again.
