how do i uninstall xp from my computer?

i have a french xp programme on my computer, i overlaid it with the english version .both copies are legal,i have followed windows help (control panel,remove/add programmes) but xp is not listed.
i would be grateful for any good advice.

you will have to insert the winXP cd in cd bay, restart the computer, and press any key when prompted to boot from cd, then you will have to do a new installation which will wipe the previous windows and all other programs, files on the disk partition.
