quick question about building an arcade machine?
i want ot build an arcade machine and i've been doing reseach, but there is a question i still have. can i build an arcade machine that uses guns (like house of the dead)? if so do i need a special monitor or somthing to make it work? also where is a place were i can get a cheap arcade cabinet?
Last things first, Cragslist look in the free section in your area, and use the search bar to locate arcade cab's. Also look your local news paper in the for sale section.. I find at lease 1 free cabinet a month and find a lot of nonworking games for under 100 bucks.
Now for the guns part. You only say I want to build an arcade machine, This could mean a few things. If you are going to use the computer board of an original machine then you will need to make sure the main board allows for piggy back boards and or interface boards. But I doubt this is what your looking for. I would say your looking to make a MAME type machine.
