Fine Finish

Where can I get "Future" brand floor finish?

I've heard it gives a fine finish to polymer beads. However, I can't find it anywhere? help. Oh, if it helps, I live in Los Angeles.

As mentioned, you can get it in places like grocery stores, Target, etc. (Mop 'N Glo is the same basic thing). It comes in a huge bottle that will last pretty much forever.

It's fairly thin and some clayers prefer the other clear finish that's commonly used on polymer clay --the bare wood finish called VARATHANE, currently manufactured by Rustoleum (the water-washup, Gloss version).
It gives a thicker coat than Future, and also has a property called an "interpenetrating network" which means it gets way down into the surface; it's also UV resistant where Future isn't, but I've never really heard of anyone complaining of Future yellowing. It can be purchased in some hardware stores, and also online in smaller amounts.

If you want to read loads about those finishes and others that can be used on polymer clay --and those that shouldn't be used on polymer, as well as their advantages/disadvantages, where to buy them, how to use them, etc., look on this page at my site:

P.S. Are you familiar with the online and also the local polymer clay groups? If you're really into clay, I'm sure you'd get a lot out of either type. (I think the LA area has several local groups).
If you're interested in more info about either type of group, check these two pages:

HTH, and have fun!
