Controlled Upright

What is it the name of this electric transportation?

My father is interested in discovering the name of a personal transportation device. This two wheel vehicle stands upright and the speed is controlled by the degree to which the person leans forward. The vehicle is slowed down by leaning backwards. I remember seeing this type of transportion on the beach (they're a great wy to cruise the boardwalk) Any ideas?
